Prakriti is depicted as a female goat. Prakriti represents the Mother Nature. The color of a goat i.e. red, black or white , represents the three gunas – Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. The vehicle of Goddess Kali is a black goat. Lord Agni rides Mesha – a ram. Kubera, the god of wealth, also has a ram as his vehicle. A ram is an uncastrated adult male sheep.
Purpose:
- For pacifying Venus and Mars planets, feed green fodder to a goat.
- To obtain the blessings of Mercury and to gain intelligence, public speaking, power of convincing others and to be proficient in skilled professions, feed split green gram (moong dal) and green things to a goat.
