Shri Rama is called Maryada Purushottam. Maryada (moral obligations) generally relates to humans and not Gods. The God is away from human natures. Because Rama behaved like a human and never showed His avatar rahashya, He is treated fully as a respectful human and hence Rama is called Maryada Purushottam. Rama personifies the characteristics of an ideal person who is to be emulated. He had within him all the desirable virtues that any individual would seek to aspire, and He fulfils all his moral obligations. Rama's purity and piety in His intentions and actions inspires affection and devotion for Him from a variety of characters from different backgrounds.

The holy meaning of Rama’s name is as follows: “R” means the subtle body, “A” measures universal consciousness, “M” means the culmination of perfection. Therefore, “Rama,” means “the manifestation of perfection of the subtle body of Consciousness.” The prefix "Shri" to Rama indicates that Rama is always associated with "Shri" - the essence of four Vedas. Uttering his name ("Ram! Ram!") while greeting a friend, and invoking Rama at the time of death by chanting "Ram Naam Satya Hai!", show His popularity.
