Rats are popular as the vehicle of Lord Ganesha. The Karni Mata Temple in Rajasthan is famous for its tradition of revering the rats. Rats roam freely in the temple premises and receive offerings of food from the devotees who visit the temple to worship the goddess.

Purpose: For pacifying Rahu and Ketu planets, offer mustard, coconut and barley grains to rat .

Service includes: Feeding multi-grains daily to rats.

Animals play an important role in the alleviation of human suffering and in facilitating the liberation of human beings by giving us an opportunity to serve them and help them, and in the process earn good karma.
